Launched in 2023, Redmi Note 12 Turbo once “fever” in the portable phone community in Vietnam. With only 7 million, the product owns an impressive hardware series with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 Chipset, 120Hz AMOLED screen, thin border and large battery life. After a year of launch, when the price has dropped to 5 million, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is still a bright choice for those who want to play games, need a phone with strong performance.

Hyperos, the community installed a large rom
At the end of February, Redmi Note 12 Turbo received the first Hyperos update. After upgrading, Hyperos promises to bring a smoother experience, good application optimization and longer battery life.
However, before updating Hyperos through the mainstream (via OTA)users should note the device Must be locking bootloader. If unlocked, the user is forced to lock or install rom versions from external sources.

Of course, with a device like the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, installing ROM from third party is not difficult. In Vietnam, the user community of this product is quite crowded. Therefore, we can easily find and install customized Miui / Hyperos versions like Muui, Hypervs (Hyperos vietsub) Or as pure rom like evolutionx.

These rom versions have a certain difference in performance as well as the ability to catch waves. Therefore, users should consider carefully before installing for their devices. According to research, muaant 1.3 (Android 13) And Hypervs are two of the most stable ROMs for this device.
Performance is still very strong
In the segment of 5 – 6 million, Redmi Note 12 Turbo is still one of the “performance kings”. With Antutu Benchmark, the device achieved more than 1.12 million points. This figure is twice as high as the Realme 12 Pro or Redmi Note 13 Pro in the same segment. Even when compared to Snapdragon 888 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 of the old flagship, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is still better rated.

On the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, I played three games including League of Legends: speed, PUBG Mobile and Genshin Impact. Actual testing conditions are as follows:
- Play games under room conditions, environmental temperature is about 29 degrees C.
- Turning off the connections does not matter, deleting multitasking and other settings for default.
- The brightness is 100%, the volume is located at 50%.
With League of Legends: speeding, I set up the player at the highest graphics (High + 120fps). However, the high FPS level only maintained in the first 4 minutes, then gradually decreased and stable at 60fps. In general, if you want to play stably at 120fps, users should reduce graphics to average or lower.

With PUBG Mobile, the device supports 90fps installation, but in the game screen is limited to 60fps. In return, gaming experience and FPS charts produce very regularly, almost no stammering, lag.

Switch to Genshin Impact, I play with two different graphics settings including high + 60fps and average + 60fps. With a heavy game as above, it is easy to understand when the FPS chart on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo in both modes fluctuates quite a lot, not really stable. However, viewing objectively, this is one of the best performances on a 5 million dong phone. The majority of other competitors in the segment cannot be or only play with very low configuration.

What about other factors?
Overall, after a year of launch, other elements on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo are good in the segment. Such as:
- Screen: With more than 5 million, this is one of the models with the most impressive screen parameters with AMOLED panel 1 billion color, Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz scan frequency. In particular, the four edges on this product are beveled very thin and even. In addition, even though it is a portable version, the device still achieves the Widevine L1 certificate.

- Battery and charging: These are two Xiaomi parameters that have always been well done so far, of course the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is no exception. It owns 5,000mAh battery, combined with fast charging with a capacity of 67W. Overall, users can safely use the device for a continuous day.

- Camera: This is probably the biggest weakness on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. However, with a phone that has focused on performance or screen, this is what users are forced to trade. In fact, the camera quality on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo can be improved by installing Google Camera versions (Gcam).

Temporary
In short, after a year of launch, Redmi Note 12 Turbo is still one of the top choices in the segment. Not only users specialize in gaming, models are also suitable for those who want a phone with good screen, impressive battery life and long -term update.
